Huntsville, Canada · Law / government
I’m an “aggressively friendly” Canadian who recently moved from Canada’s biggest city, Toronto, to the small town of Huntsville in Muskoka, Canada’s famous “cottage country” region in Ontario - just a 2.5 hour drive north of Toronto. I’m an outdoors person at heart so living at the doorstep to some of Ontario’s best provincial parks, like Algonquin, with its hiking trails, forests, lakes and wildlife really appealed to me. I live in a quaint 1890 Victorian era house near Huntsville’s historic downtown and would love to share my guest suite and stories with visitors from other countries.
A place I got completely wrong before I went
Syria. I visited feeling quite fearful and worried for my safety and left having experienced the warmest hospitality and friendliest people from all of my world travels.
A thing I'm bad at and have made peace with
I am a horrible driver. It’s not because I can’t drive - it’s because I can’t focus for very long and I’m easily distracted by animal sightings, a beautiful tree or anything else but the road I should be focusing on! :)
