My wife, Betty Anne, and I love to travel and meet new people. What we enjoy most is immersing ourselves in local culture rather than just being tourists. Sitting in a pub or café chatting with locals can be just as memorable for us as visiting a famous attraction. Life has given us a couple of reminders that it’s meant to be lived. Betty Anne is a cancer survivor (Sept 2016), and more recently I went through open heart surgery (Feb 2026). Experiences like that have reinforced our desire to see more of the world, meet interesting people, and appreciate the moments along the way.
