Liability Waiver

Last updated June 28, 2026

Please read this Liability Waiver carefully. By using Adopted Adults to host or to be hosted, you acknowledge and accept the risks described below. This Waiver is part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.

1. Adopted Adults connects people; it does not supervise stays

Adopted Adults is a platform that helps verified adults meet, host, and visit one another. We are not a party to any stay. We do not own or control any home, are not present during stays, and do not supervise, direct, or control the conduct of any member.

2. Assumption of risk

Meeting and staying with other people involves inherent risks, including risks of personal injury, illness, emotional distress, property loss or damage, theft, and unexpected or harmful conduct by others. By hosting or visiting, you knowingly and voluntarily assume these risks.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for your own safety and for the safety of your home and household. Use your judgment: complete the video call, read profiles and reviews, share your plans with someone you trust, set clear house rules, and use the in-app reporting and blocking tools if anything feels wrong.

You are responsible for complying with all laws and obligations that apply to you, including any lease, insurance, tax, or local rules related to hosting.

4. What we do, and its limits

We require identity verification and a video call before a stay can be confirmed, and we provide tools to report and block members. These measures reduce risk but do not eliminate it. We cannot and do not guarantee the identity, character, conduct, or safety of any member, or the condition or safety of any home.

5. Release and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Adopted Adults and its officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, damages, losses, and liabilities arising out of or related to any stay, meeting, or interaction arranged through the Service, including injury, illness, loss, or damage. Our liability is further limited as described in our Terms of Service.

6. In an emergency

If you are in danger or there is an emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately. The Service is not a substitute for emergency, medical, or law-enforcement services.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Adopted Adults from claims and expenses arising out of a stay or interaction you take part in or your violation of these terms, as described more fully in our Terms of Service.
